Overview
We are recruiting for two Playworkers to support at this wonderful school.
Pay Scale: SCP 5 (£5,614 - £5,715 per annum actual) 10 hours per week - TTO. Fixed Term September 2025 start
Pay Scale: SCP 6 (£4562 - £4644 per annum actual) 8 hours per week - TTO. Fixed Term September 2025 start

Job Description & Person Specification
We are looking for someone who:
- Ideally has experience of working in a similar role.
- Can work effectively as part of a team.
- Is able to work on their own initiative, prioritising day to day work.
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is committed to our Catholic vision and ethos.
Effort Demands:
- Will supervise and engage children in safe, structured and stimulating play during lunchtimes and playtimes.
- Will work under the supervision of the senior lunchtime supervisor or senior staff but will be expected to use initiative and build positive relationships with children.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up play areas that encourage children to develop through play.
- Build strong relationships with children and respond to their needs.
- Lead games and supervise children.
- Encourage children to express themselves and talk about their worries.
- Build positive relationships with parents, carers and professionals.
- Make sure children are safe and secure.
- Deal with injuries and emergencies
- Support classes with Forest School
Salary & Benefits
£4652 - £5715 per annum actual.
