Job Advert & Description

The Governors of the Holy Family Catholic School, a Voluntary Academy are seeking to appoint a creative and inspirational Teacher of Music to join a supportive team who are committed to promoting high aspirations and excellent outcomes in Music across the school. We expect the successful candidate to demonstrate a visible commitment to the wider school mission of ensuring that we ‘awaken minds’ , ‘achieve dreams’ and ‘serve others’ . As such they would be expected to have full involvement with the wider aspects of school life and the local community.

Role Summary

To deliver outstanding teaching of Music, supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes, and to act as a role model/impact the school more widely. To support with the design and delivery of engaging and challenging lessons that inspire students to appreciate the subject and its application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To plan, resource and deliver lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest standard that ensure effective learning takes place and all students make excellent progress.
  • To provide a nurturing classroom and school environment that helps students to develop as learners.
  • To help to establish/maintain excellent standards of behaviour across the whole school.
  • To undertake intervention activities with key students as directed. To contribute to the effective working of the school.
