Pay Scale: Band 5 SCP 6 (£21,778 - £22,168 per annum actual)

28.75 hours per week - TTO. 5 days a week 8:30 - 15:00

Fixed Term for 1 year in the first instance March 2026 start

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working in a similar role.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team.
  • Is able to work on their own initiative, prioritising day to day work.
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills.

Effort Demands:

Demonstrate resilience, empathy, and adaptability in a dynamic school environment, managing emotional and behavioural challenges while maintaining professionalism, patience, and a consistent focus on pupil wellbeing and progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of pupils in the learning environment.
  • Undertake structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes appropriate to the pupil’s needs to ensure physical, social, emotional and intellectual development, taking into account diversity e.g. language, culture, ability, race and religion.
  • Will supervise and support pupils consistently at all times; recognising and responding to their individual needs whilst ensuring their safety and education in the learning environment.
  • Promote and reinforce the inclusion, acceptance and integration of all pupils, including those with specific and special needs and those from different cultures and/or with a different first language as appropriate.
  • Will provide clerical/administrative support as directed by the teacher. In respect of local and national learning strategies, will support pupils to achieve learning goals e.g. literacy, numeracy, KS2, early years as directed by the teacher
